The Loyola University Maryland autograph collection, 1853-1988, consists of letters written to Loyola College administrators and Dr. Nicholas Varga, Loyola Archivist, from notable people of the time. Some are historical documents pulled from Loyola's archival records, such as an 1853 letter from Joseph Henry to Father Ward at the Smithsonian Institution.
